Chorus Auditions
DVOC’s chorus is the backbone of the company. You can’t have grand opera without a grand chorus! 

• Singers of all voice types with past choral experience are welcome!

Lead Role Auditions
There is a two-tiered process for singers new to DVOC. Every autumn DVOC holds general auditions for singers who may want to become members of the company. New singers pay an audition fee prior to their audition. At the close of these auditions singers who are invited to join the company have their first year of membership dues waived. (Annual membership dues are required to be eligible to audition for roles.)
 
Which brings us to the second tier of the process! In the winter DVOC holds auditions for the Summer Opera Festival. All singing members who have paid their annual membership fee are invited to audition.
 
Singing members who are not cast in the Summer Opera Festival have other opportunities to perform in concerts, recitals, studio operas and even projects that they themselves produce with board approval.
